Caden Nowlain Memorial Fishing Tournament
This portion of the website is dedicated to my son Caden Nowlain. We lost Caden in August 2005 at the age of seventeen in a very tragic accident. While helping his grandfather with some irrigation pipe, the pipe Caden was holding came in contact with a power line and God called Caden home. The loss of a child is indescribable. Caden was a wonderful child and an awesome young man. He loved helping people, he loved his family, his friends, and his classmates and he loved life.
In Caden's honor and in his memory, Central Texas Striper Guide Service, with the help of a great many businesses, individuals, family and friends, sponsors an annual fishing tournament/fish fry. The money that is raised funds the Caden Nowlain Memorial Scholarship program for the graduating class of Caden's High School, Borden County High School in Gail, Texas.
We are very proud of our son. In his life he was a Christian, a loving son, a grandson, and a good friend to many. He not only touched the lives of many, he left a lasting memory there. In his death, he was an organ donor and is still touching the lives of many. We honor him with this event and hope to continue to make a difference in the lives and in the hearts of the community where he loved and was loved in return.
